The Genesis of GEPL ( Glotech Engineering Pvt. Ltd) was initiated in 1983, under the able leadership of Mr. Abid Chhagan, who ushererd the development of Tecno Traders, which focussed on supplies of Hardware utilities to local Government institutions. The natural progression into the foray of light engineering was imminent, with the impending economic boom and under the able entrepreneurship guidance that we saw ourselves catapulted into as the market leaders in our category.
In 2000, the mantle of leadership was passed onto Mr. Huzefa Chhagan, a management graduate from a premier institute, who consolidated the territory and also aggressively expanded into the sphere of PPE and Fasteners. By 2005, Tecno Traders & Global engineering merged as subsidiaries of the newly incorporated GEPL. The consolidation and growth of the company was further strengthened by the induction of Mr. Hussain Chhagan, who on his graduation from London School Of Economics (LSE), was able to support and expand the company to greater heights. Ever focussed on the service quotient, we have now branches in Bangalore,Kolkata and Indore to serve our customers more effectively. It was at this juncture that the company focussed on overseas expansions and truly acquired a global status with multiple offices being initiated in Dubai to cater to the MENA region. The company is now actively pursuing strategic alliances, partnerships and representations across Europe and USA to take its rightful place as market leaders in the world stage.
The growth, through expansion, was exponential with newer heights being scaled year after year, to our current turnover of USD 2 million. Our cornerstones to this exponential growth has been, and will always be, rooted in efficiency through RELIABILITY & TRANSPARENCY to our customers with the highest level of focus on CUSTOMER SATISFACTION through extended services which goes beyond the call of duty.
GEPL is a Chennai based company with a name that precedes itself in the trading of Hardware mechanical tools and tackles and Light Engineering Equipment with specialised expertise in High-Pressure hoses Hydraulic and Pneumatic Fittings, Spare parts of plant and machinery ( earth moving/ highway construction), Valves, Pipe & Pipe Fittings, Industrial lubricants and paints, Adhesives, Fasteners, Safety PPE , Rubber products, Insulation and Packaging items, welding consumables and equipment, electrical cables, switchgears and galvanized trunking system, Fabrication of customised products specific to the industrial environment.
